The Return of Air Travel

Show me someone who is satisfied with the air service in Lethbridge and I’ll show you someone who doesn’t care for flying anyway.

We all remember time air

Once upon a time, Lethbridge had a functioning airport with lots of flights to many destinations at reasonable prices.  Isn’t it time we got back to where we once belonged?

Starting small just like stubb ross did
Stubb Ross started Time Air with a twin Cessna.  Yet it was from this humble beginning that what would eventually become Canadian Regional Airlines was built.

The national carriers do not seem prepared to provide the residents of Lethbridge with a level of air service required for us to achieve our economic goals.

A Virtual Airline For Lethbridge?

Everyone knows that airlines don’t make money.  Everyone also knows that you need to start off with a huge pile of cash, only to watch it dwindle away the longer the operation remains in the air.  What if there was another way to do it?   This was certainly the thinking when Flair Air got started.

With the slightest of nods to deregulation, The Canadian Transport Agency wisely recognized that with everyone in the air and travel industry from charter operators to travel agencies already licensed.  Accordingly, it is possible to establish a virtual airline that owns no aircraft, employs no crew, and has very little overhead   This was the case when NewLeaf Travel started operations a few years back.   However, no need to rely on memory when it’s all be recorded on the Interwebs

Couldn’t we take advantage of the lessons learned and see if we can’t get started in a small way while dodging the ferocious competition dogging the major carriers on the main routes?    Research is already underway.  Discussions are already being held with potential lease operators to position a BEECH 1900D here in Lethbridge.    The time is ripe for another Time Air!
